Microsoft 365 Copilot Is Now Available For Enterprise Users

Published on November 3, 2023

Microsoft 365 Copilot, an AI-driven feature, is now widely available for Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, following a trial with over 600 enterprise customers. It assists in tasks such as summarizing Teams meetings and creating PowerPoint decks from documents. The service is priced at $30 per user per month and requires a minimum of 300 licenses for a company. For now, it seems like the product is only concerned with the enterprise markets.

The rollout of Copilot is not immediate for all. Enterprise customers must coordinate with their Microsoft account representative, and only those with E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium plans have current access, excluding Office 365 users and Microsoft 365 Monthly Enterprise Channel subscribers until December. Some features, like Copilot for Excel, are still in preview, and Copilot for OneNote is currently limited to Windows users. Full availability is expected in the coming months.
