On September 1, Bethesda Softworks released Starfield, making the studio's "first new universe in over 25 years". The company claim that in the game, you can "create your character and explore the stars with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity's greatest mystery."
The game features numerous planets to explore, many options for character optimization, as well as (in the eyes of a lot of people) good graphics.
Interestingly, Starfield is also one of the very few games that require a solid state drive. Many reviewers have pointed out that this seems to be related to the sheer amount of data that needs to be loaded as the game is running. The game is also very hardware demanding. Benchmarks indicate that even the RTX 3090Ti, the flagship from Nvidia’s last generation of gaming cards, struggle to run the game above 60 frames per second at 1080P, Ultra settings.
